01 / APPROACH

My approach

An editorial assignment needs a point of view. I start with the story, the subject, and where the images will live, then work toward photographs that give the audience something more than a description.

That can mean a portrait in someone’s working space, the detail that explains a practice, or a moment observed rather than arranged. The assignment, production needs, and image usage are scoped together.
